Location: Nýi Ökuskolinn, Klettagarðar 11, 104 Reykjavík www. meiraprof.is This course gives the sudents the right to be tested as operators of all types and sizes of construction machinery. The course is according to the regulation of VER (Vinnueftirlit Ríkisins / The Administration of Occupational Safety and Health in Iceland). Students must hold a valid Icelandic driving licence (or driving licence from other EES countries) and having completed this cource, to be eligable for practical tests to acquire licence for operation of construction machines in Iceland and other EES countries. This cource is from 17:00 to 21:45 hours on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, total of 80 hours and will be completed in 14 days. The cost is 75.000 IKR, payable by credit-card or cash and must be payed at the begining of the course (i.e. paid in advance). Many trade unions support their members for part of the cost of the corse and unemployed persons should talk to the office for unemployement for possible support. Practical training: As this cource is only theoretical (no practical training included) students can rent machines for practical training with teacher. The extra cost for this is 39,900 ISK. but majority of students have access to machines and are guided by their employers and therefore do not to need buy this service. Practical tests are carried out anywhere in the country by official inspectors from VER responsible for implementation. Each machine group is tested seperately and the cost for each group is 3,800 ISK. The certificate itself costs 5.170 ISK (a one time charge). Examples of the cource contents: The machine operator, his work and maintainece of the equipment, Safety on jobsite, Equipment and work techniques, Practices with machinery, Escavators, Bulldozers, Cranes; Hydraulic fluid basic theory, Machine engine bacic theory, Labour reports, Soil compaction and minerals, Pipes and cables in ground, Jobsite drawings and insuance etc. ERROR - Access Denied To This Form - The form is not published! |
